A Peony Filled Supper Club

Good morning on this Memorial Day! Whether you are at the lake, BBQ-ing with family, or just simply resting, I hope you are having a good weekend. I know today it not a fun day for a lot of people. So I want to give a shout out to the ones today is all about- to all who have served- past, present, and those about to enter, and to all the families involved. Y'all are amazing. And I truly don't know how you do it but I am so appreciative that you do. THANK YOU!

I have multiple adventures to share, but I will be honest, I have been lazy about getting the photos and writing together in order to actually post them. So I am whipping my butt into shape (both metaphorically and physically...for an upcoming beach trip...) to get back to blogging!

Today I have a colorful supper club dinner I was hired to design and set up a few weeks ago! It was my first "official" client, who also happens to be my mother-in-law. ;) She wanted to be my first client and I was happy to help her put together this fun dinner for her fellow teachers at the school she is a 5th grade teacher at.

Since it was to be kept somewhat casual, originally we were just going to set up two-three tables and let people sit wherever. But once I heard there would be less than 20 people, I wanted to find a way to seat them all in one room, so that the group wouldn't be too scattered. So with the help of my father-in-law and my husband, I had the kitchen table moved into the dining room in order to make one large table to seat everyone!

It was still to be casual, so rather than doing a lot for the place settings, I tied the colorful cutlery with the pretty napkins and placed them on silver chargers. It kept it simple and clean, and yet cute and personal for each seat.

For the first time this season, I also was able to order some lush peonies from Whole Foods. Mixed in with other gorgeous florals, lace, pale peach cloth, and silver accents, this turned out to be a very cheerful design!

Have a blessed Memorial Day and Remember all who have given their lives, and all who are currently serving for our freedom. <3
